Blacklock Financial are partnered with a leading Investment Bank who are looking to add a Vice President to their Consumer & Retail M&A group.


Position Overview:


As an Investment Banking Vice President in the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) group, you will play a critical role in leading and executing buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements. You will work directly with senior executives of client companies, private equity firms, and internal teams to drive deal origination, financial analysis, transaction structuring, and closing. This is an opportunity for an accomplished investment banking professional to accelerate their career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Transaction Leadership: Lead the execution of M&A transactions from initiation to closing, including buy-side and sell-side processes.

  • Client Management: Develop and maintain relationships with corporate executives, private equity firms, and other key stakeholders to facilitate deal flow.

  • Financial Analysis: Oversee the creation and review of complex financial models, valuations, and due diligence reports. Lead in the preparation of pitch materials and investment memos.

  • Strategic Advisory: Provide clients with expert advice on M&A strategy, transaction structuring, capital raising, and market trends.

  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor Analysts and Associates, providing guidance on deal execution, financial analysis, and professional development.

  • Business Development: Support senior bankers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including origination efforts, networking, and relationship building.

  • Market Research: Stay informed on relevant industry developments, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes to provide insightful advisory services.


Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of Investment Banking experience, with a strong focus on Consumer M&A transactions. Experience in leading deal teams and closing transactions is required.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is required. An MBA or CFA designation is highly preferred.

  • Skills:

  • Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and persuasively.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in managing teams.
