Role Overview

As a Financial Investment Portfolio Manager at Acumen, you will assess client risk profiles, develop tailored strategies, and oversee execution—all while ensuring compliance and delivering exceptional client service. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, present to prospective clients, and contribute to our firm’s Investment Committee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess clients’ risk tolerance, conduct market research, and construct optimized portfolios.
  • Develop and implement advanced investment processes, making informed decisions on asset selection and timing.
  • Educate clients on investment strategies, oversee transactions, and manage expectations.
  • Communicate portfolio status, market conditions, and relevant economic trends to clients.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Advisors to align portfolio design with Acumen’s philosophy.
  • Prepare and complete all compliance documentation and required disclosures.
  • Support individual clients and advise client-facing team members.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates.
  • Track and report market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes.
  • Analyze investment risks and apply effective risk management strategies.
  • Engage across departments to ensure prompt response to client needs and requests.
  • Lead prospect presentations and manage the client onboarding experience.
  • Foster a collaborative, collegial work environment and embody Acumen’s core values.
  • Represent Acumen at marketing events and external functions.
  • Actively contribute to the Investment Committee, sharing your expertise.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of investment or related experience, including ≥2 years in client-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and team management.
  • Expertise with portfolio performance and rebalancing systems.
  • Active Series 65 license (or equivalent qualifying exam).

Preferred Qualifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
