The Investment Operations Analyst will work closely with members of their department, Portfolio Managers, Investment Analysts and Traders, Chief Compliance Officer, third party back office service providers (IT and back office support teams) and custodians, to provide middle office support, assist in the overall efforts to ensure efficient operational procedures and exceptional support for the client service team and assist in ad hoc projects.

Primary Duties:
Provide middle office support to the investment team, ensuring all departments and clients receive timely/accurate information, which may include (but is not limited to), the following activities:

  • Primary Function: Coordinate and settle trading activities with the appropriate counter-parties. Fixed Income, Equities, Foreign Exchange (spots & forwards), Futures, Options, Mortgage TBAs
  • Primary Function: Weekly reconciliation of accounts with client custodians and portfolio system
  • Primary Function: Maintenance of books and records in compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., account documentation, client statements, trading records)
  • Primary Function: Setup of new client accounts with appropriate brokers and custodians
  • Primary Function: Money movements
  • Project work (client reporting, pricing, corporate action processing, etc)
  • Collaboration with all levels within the team and working with other teams
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate college degree
  • A strong analytical mind, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and grow
  • Strong written, verbal, and inter-personal communication skills
  • Previous RIA experience preferred, but not necessary
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial industry
  • Familiarity with portfolio accounting, performance reporting, trading, and Bloomberg systems
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of financial markets, especially fixed income securities.
  • Basic knowledge of the back-office operations of financial institutions.
  • Ability to work in a PC environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
  • Positive, Professional attitude and willingness to accept change
  • A desire to work at a small firm that values a client-first culture and the highest ethical standards
  • Reliable and timely, with solid problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, custodian portals, or portfolio accounting tools is a plus
  • Comfort working with data and solving operational issues in a fast-paced environment and enhancing current processes and automation.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • In addition to base salary and benefits, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
