Job Title: Associate, Investment Operations

Department: Investment Administration

Reports To: Director, Investment Operations

FLSA Code: Non-Exempt

Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $80,000


Job Summary:

Provide portfolio accounting, administration and multi-currency reconciliation support for various institutional accounts and mutual funds in a cooperative, team-focused environment. Participate in daily and ad-hoc responsibilities in support of the firm’s investment initiatives. Develop an awareness and understanding of the investment lifecycle and the role that operations has in ensuring complete and accurate enterprise data. Contribute to department and firm objectives with a high level of precision, professionalism, and moral standards. Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Daily transaction and position reconciliations as well as monthly position, market value and accrual reconciliations with timely research and resolution of discrepancies with custodians, brokers, or other parties
  • Coordinate proxy voting instructions and carry out security set-up and maintenance, pricing, and reporting
  • Monitor, analyze and prepare communications related to the processing of various corporate actions events
  • Work with custodians, brokers, and traders to identify, investigate and resolve trade settlement issues
  • Monitoring and processing of client flows; ensuring prompt and accurate communication with Front Office
  • Assist with timely completion on bespoke client reporting deliverables
  • Liaise with portfolio managers, traders and custodians on a daily basis
  • Participate in daily end of day process to manage the data integrity of cash, positions and trades in accounting and trading systems from current day to next business day
  • Prepare audit documentation as needed
  • Frequent communication with internal departments globally (Investment Team, Trading, Relationship Management, Information Technology, and members of senior management) and external groups (custodians, clients, service providers)
  • Assist as needed with special requests/reports/projects

Minimum Requirements:

  • 0 - 2 years of experience
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • S. in Business Administration, Finance, or related fields
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to understand technological workflow processes across several platforms
  • Enthusiasm and aptitude to become proficient with CNS’ portfolio accounting system (SimCorp Dimension), trading platform (Charles River OMS), portfolio reconciliation system (Trintech Frontier), Omgeo, Bloomberg terminal and other critical systems
  • Motivated and willing to contribute with team responsibilities
