Position Overview:

The Vice President, Capital Markets is responsible for leading debt and equity financing initiatives across Woodmont Properties’ portfolio. This highly visible role partners closely with sector heads in multifamily, industrial, and land to develop and execute financing strategies that align with the company’s investment and development goals. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the VP will cultivate relationships with capital providers, negotiate financing terms, and ensure the firm maintains a competitive and flexible capital structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debt & Equity Financing: Source, structure, and execute capital solutions for acquisitions, developments, and recapitalizations across Woodmont’s portfolio. Joint venture partnerships, and programmatic ventures, are of particular emphasis.
  • Capital Markets Strategy: Assess economic and financial market trends to recommend strategies that optimize risk-adjusted returns.
  • Lender & Investor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with banks, institutional investors, and capital partners to enhance funding opportunities.
  • Transaction Execution: Oversee financing transactions from inception to closing, including underwriting, due diligence, negotiations, and documentation review.
  • Cross-Sector Collaboration: Work with sector heads and senior leadership in multifamily, industrial, and land to align capital strategies with business objectives.
  • Portfolio Management: Proactively manage debt and equity portfolio to optimize project capital structures and ensure alignment with their business plans and the company’s strategic objectives
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure financing structures adhere to financial covenants and risk parameters.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in real estate capital markets, investment banking, or structured finance, with a focus on debt and equity placement.
  • Established relationships with lenders and institutional investors, particularly in multifamily, industrial, and land sectors.
  • Deep expertise in real estate capital structuring, financial modeling, and risk assessment.
  • Strong negotiation and execution skills with a track record of closing complex financing transactions.
  • Collaborative and strategic mindset, with the ability to work across business units to support Woodmont’s long-term growth.
