Role Overview

As an Investment Associate, you’ll lead underwriting, due diligence, and investment execution across both corporate and real estate deals. You’ll also help prepare internal memos and external investor materials.

Primary Responsibilities

• Build complex financial models across real estate and OpCo investments

• Analyze debt, lease structures, cap rates, enterprise value, and cash flows

• Conduct market and transaction research to support investment theses

• Lead underwriting of real estate fundamentals and value-add strategies

• Conduct due diligence on both property and corporate opportunities

• Draft investment memos across Clay Cove’s multi-stage process

• Develop presentations for LPs, partners, and internal committees

Desired Experience and Skills

• 3–4+ years in investment banking, real estate, PE, consulting, or related fields

• MBA from a top-tier program (preferred)

• Advanced Excel modeling skills (corporate + real estate)

• Strong writing, presentation, and analytical skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CoStar, Green Street

• Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive problem solver

• Able to work in fast-paced, dynamic team environments
