Investment Adviser based in Sarasota, FL is looking to add an Associate Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to the team. The position will be hybrid, working from your home residence and traveling to FL office and NY metro area at least monthly for in person team building.

The position reports to the Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. The candidate will be immersed in strategy and portfolio positioning as well as portfolio analytics and attribution. This includes monitoring the Funds’ performance relative to the appropriate benchmark and to the Morningstar peer group.

The Associate Portfolio Manager will be responsible for active management of the Funds’ structured products investments including MBS, CMBS, and ABS and be involved in corporate bonds and Treasury sectors. A proven track record of success in managing these asset classes is essential.

A highly motivated self-starter, able to proactively assume responsibility and add value to the investment process, is desired. The candidate should possess strong quantitative and computer modeling skills, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, and/or FactSet. The candidate should also have strong writing skills and will be responsible for writing regular economic and market overviews for Board documents as well as for shareholder reports.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Senior Portfolio Manager to coordinate investment strategy and generate investment ideas. The Associate Portfolio Manager will be expected to provide insight and depth into relative value, credit surveillance, risk management, and economic analysis.

The Associate Portfolio Manager should have a minimum of 5 - 10 years of fixed income portfolio management experience. Ideal candidates should have mutual fund experience. Strong communication and presentation skills, work-ethic, and commitment to a collaborative, team-oriented environment are a must. BA/BS in finance or economics is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 per year
