The Strategic Investment Associate will play a crucial role in the execution of strategic investments and non-bank acquisitions. We are seeking an ambitious, and driven individual who is eager to make an impact. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, and creative, unafraid to try new things and work on cross-functional and diverse teams. The Strategic Investment Associate reports directly to the Strategic Investments Director and collaborates with the Heads and Directors of various business segments on the selection of strategic investments and non-bank acquisitions. The Associate will be exposed to a broad range of investments, including seed-stage to growth equity and acquisitions.

Compensation Range
$70,000-$140,000 Annual Salary
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

The Associate will be exposed to a broad range of investments, including seed-stage to growth equity and acquisitions.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, developing, and executing non-bank M&A and strategic investments.
- Participate in all levels of due diligence, including but not limited to financial modeling, product assessment, competitive analysis, market sizing, investment structuring, and integration planning.
- Assist in preparing and presenting investment memorandums to leadership.
- Identify new opportunities through thematic research targeting new markets and disruptive technologies.
- Assist in portfolio management and reporting activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 4+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Private Equity, or a similar financial or investment role.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
