Job Description
This position is a Vice President role within Mid-Cap Investment Banking in Charlotte, NC. In this role you will manage and develop client coverage materials, conducting industry research and screening, transaction origination and execution of the full range of investment banking products and services. Additionally, you will assist in the development, training, and support of junior bankers.
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for independently working with clients and handling complex transactions under the direction of senior investment bankers.
Demonstrate well-developed knowledge of the entire suite of investment banking products and services including buysides, sellsides, carve-outs, spin offs, IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, fairness opinions and activism & defense; this position is directly involved in the origination and execution for existing clients and prospects.
Lead and or support the delivery of a comprehensive suite of investment banking products and services to executive-level clients, while managing client relationships and overseeing the execution of mandated transactions.
Participate in analyzing companies, develop strategies for clients, pulling market and industry research across the investment banking product suite.
Develop and train Investment Banking Analysts and Associates in M&A, DCM, and ECM valuation and processes.
Demonstrate high level of initiative and the ability to work within a fast-paced team environment. You must bring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Precise attention to detail is essential. You must demonstrate a habit of learning and mastering complex material and a practiced ability to communicate the same.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
M&A experience required including experience in mid or large cap public and private transactions
Experience in executing complex transactions and a deep understanding of deal structuring across equity, debt, and hybrid products
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong track record of originating and executing investment banking transactions and client coverage
Ability to lead, train, and mentor junior staff and manage several simultaneous transactions and projects at once
Highly developed writing skills
Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
Knowledge and understanding of business development: business vision, strategies, and goals application to the technology client universe
Job Expectations:
Ability to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
FINRA SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 exams must all be successfully completed within 90 days of employment if not available for transfer
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Base Pay:
Base pay range for this position in NYC/CLT is 250,000.00 USD
May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards
