The Opportunity
: Investment Banking Summer Associate


We are seeking highly motivated MBA candidates to join our Investment Banking team as Summer Associates. You will work side-by-side with senior bankers on live transactions, lead critical workstreams, and deepen your expertise across valuation, due diligence, and client engagement. This program provides an unparalleled platform to transition into a full-time Investment Banking Associate role.


Responsibilities:


As an Investment Banking Summer Associate, you will:

  • Lead Financial Analysis – Build, review, and refine complex financial models (DCF, LBO, merger models), oversee pro forma and scenario analyses, and ensure analytical accuracy.
  • Deal Execution – Coordinate and manage workstreams across diligence, third-party advisors, and internal teams; draft key transaction documents (CIMs, management presentations, buyer lists).
  • Client Interaction – Participate in client meetings, present analytical findings, and respond to real-time information requests from C-suite executives and investors.
  • Industry & Market Research – Drive in-depth sector research, competitive benchmarking, and strategic analysis to support origination and execution.
  • Presentation Materials – Lead the creation of pitch books, board materials, and investor decks, maintaining top-tier quality and branding standards.
  • Team Leadership – Mentor Summer Analysts and full-time Analysts, ensuring consistent analytical rigor, and foster a collaborative workflow.
  • Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance modeling templates, and share best practices across the group.
  • Administrative Coordination – Oversee transaction logistics (data rooms, timelines, NDAs) to keep deals on track.


What We're Looking For


We seek candidates who demonstrate:

  • MBA Candidacy: Currently enrolled in a top-tier MBA program with an outstanding academic record.
  • Prior Experience: 2–4 years of pre-MBA experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate finance, or related analytical roles.
  • Advanced Financial Acumen: Mastery of valuation techniques, financial statement analysis, and Excel-based financial modeling.
  • Analytical & Quantitative Rigor: Exceptional quantitative, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets.
  • Leadership & Drive: Proven initiative, ownership mentality, and the capacity to lead multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • Communication Excellence: Polished verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior audiences.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and a track record of coaching or mentoring peers.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial databases (Capital IQ, PitchBook) a plus.
