Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Forvis Mazars, LLP, is seeking a Vice President to join the investment banking team. In this position, your primary responsibility will be helping grow a practice through the execution of investment banking engagements, relationship management and initial development of origination capabilities and contacts. The ideal candidate will have a background of high-quality engagement execution, demonstrate marketing skills, and developing a referral network. What You Will Do

  • Support and manage investment banking transactions - Prepare marketing materials including executive summary, confidential memorandums, financial modeling, and provide transaction marketing support for merger & acquisition, debt and equity financing, company divestitures, and strategic options analysis engagements.

  • Client/Prospect Interaction - Begin developing internal and external relationships to source corporate finance transactions, prepare and deliver client/prospect presentations, work closely with the Managing Directors and local LLP partner/managers and initiatives groups in developing client relationships and marketing strategies.

  • Marketing Support- Prepare and execute business development strategies including, participate in corporate finance-related industry conferences and public speaking opportunities, assist in developing articles, marketing letters, news releases, and other avenues to generate exposure and build brand.



Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Liberal Arts degree with strong quantitative ability

  • Five (5) years or more of prior investment banking or other finance / accounting positions involving M&A or corporate finance activities such as private equity, transaction services, or business valuation

  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Prior experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Pitchbook, S&P Capital IQ

  • The FINRA Series 63 and 79

  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, business services, healthcare, food & beverage, construction/infrastructure services, technology, and/or energy

  • Thorough understanding of capital advisory services and the M&A process, sell-side and buy-side representation, debt/equity/distressed restructurings, creating buyer/seller strategies, deal structuring, and negotiation

  • Previous success and proven history of closing investment banking transactions (book of business contacts) and developing engagement sourcing skills
