Group Overview – Private Advisory Group

Cantor’s Private Advisory group specializes in navigating private capital markets for business owners, entrepreneurs, finance professionals. Their services are designed to support privately owned business owners and founders through various stages of capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives.


Responsibilities:

As an Analyst in the Private Advisory Group, you will gain hands-on experience in advising entrepreneurs and business owners on private capital markets, strategic growth, and liquidity solutions.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the execution of private capital raises, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic advisory mandates

  • Conducting company and industry research to develop tailored capital markets strategies

  • Preparing client presentations, offering memoranda, and marketing materials

  • Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis and due diligence

  • Coordinating with internal teams, legal counsel, and external counterparties throughout the deal process

  • Engaging directly with corporate issuers, private companies, and institutional investors


Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of relevant work experience (investment banking, capital markets, sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, or corporate finance preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, financial modeling, and valuation techniques

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Series 63 and 79 certified


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
