Investment Banking Associate

Summary

A Denver-based middle-market investment bank is seeking to add an experienced Investment Banker at the Associate or Senior Associate level to their lean, high-performing team.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, flat organizational structure with meaningful exposure to both deal sourcing and execution. You’ll work side-by-side with senior professionals in a team-oriented, transparent environment.

The firm is active across multiple industries, including consumer products, industrials, business services, healthcare, and technology. Most transactions fall within the $50M–$80M range, though recent deals have reached between $200M–$600M. With a healthy pipeline and strong momentum, 2025 is shaping up to be a very active year.

Responsibilities

• Gain a thorough understanding of client businesses, financials, growth trajectories, and market positioning
• Analyze and interpret historical and projected financial statements
• Lead and support due diligence processes and M&A execution
• Create marketing materials, including pitch decks, CIMs, and management presentations
• Conduct valuations and ad hoc financial modeling
• Support ongoing engagements from marketing through close
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, and professional service providers

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in investment banking, financial advisory, private equity, or Big 4 M&A
• Strong grasp of corporate finance and accounting principles
• Deep experience in operational modeling, financial analysis, and valuation
• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution with a strong academic record
• Excellent technical and analytical skill set
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Confident public speaker with strong presentation abilities
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
