Job Summary

The Senior Investment Research Analyst leads public markets manager research, overseeing over 100 investment options across 30 asset classes. This role maintains deep coverage of external managers and provides high-conviction ratings to ensure top-tier strategies are selected for Moneta’s Recommended List. The analyst guides and collaborates with research team members to align fund recommendations with Moneta’s investment philosophy and client needs. Additionally, the role partners with senior investment leaders to manage due diligence governance, support research initiatives, and implement model portfolio changes.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the CIO and Head of Investment Strategy and Research to execute the strategic plan relating to manager research efforts and expand the offering to fulfill ever-changing needs of Moneta’s advisor teams and clients.
  • Serves as a primary communicator to the firm as it pertains to public investments, including fund research, asset class research, education, and content production.
  • Manages fellow research analysts and guides their efforts toward meeting end goals for clients, partner teams and/or EST in a timely and productive manner.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to support the Partner teams in their explanation, analysis, and/or responses to client questions and demands.
  • Supports advisors and clients with complex investment portfolio questions, needs and scenarios to deliver more personalized, tax-efficient, and robust investment solutions.
  • Proactively identifies, recommends and monitors the firm’s recommended public markets investment solutions according to Moneta's overarching investment philosophy and the Investment team’s research objectives.
  • Collaborates with various other department heads within EST (Compliance, Custody, etc) to make informed decisions on the plan of execution of goals associated with the public manager research efforts.
  • Contributes to efforts to develop and enhance the Investment Department’s workflow processes to achieve more scalability of solutions, meet clients’ evolving demands and enhance our product offering to advisor teams.
  • Consistently provides regular internal content to keep advisors and clients informed on manager updates, commentary, and performance.
  • Partners with senior staff to implement best practices in analysis, processes or technology that enhance service excellence and champions process innovations that elevate the overall experience for Partner teams and clients.

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related concentration required
  • 7-10 years investment industry experience required
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of mutual funds, exchange traded funds, separately managed accounts, hedge funds, private markets, and brokerage/bank administration procedures
  • Bloomberg and Morningstar Direct experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
