Overview:

As a Public Securities Analyst for our Family Office, you will play a key role in managing and monitoring the firm’s public securities portfolio. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex financial information. You will work closely with senior investment professionals to help drive portfolio performance and support decision-making across a wide range of asset classes and investment strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage earnings summaries and maintain equity valuation frameworks for public securities holdings.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on existing and prospective public investments.
  • Construct and structure trades in alignment with investment thesis, risk parameters, and portfolio goals
  • Compile and organize news flow, sell-side research, and thematic reports for key portfolio positions.
  • Track and manage capital markets activity, including IPOs.
  • Participate in management calls, earnings calls, and industry conferences to stay informed on relevant trends.
  • Produce and maintain risk metrics and analytics for the public securities portfolio.
  • Enter and reconcile trades in internal systems and maintain accurate position records.
  • Monitor risk reporting across options, derivatives, and hedge book exposures.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members and interns, supporting their development and output.
  • Assist in managing portfolio P&L and identifying opportunities to generate alpha within defined discretion.
  • Support ad hoc initiatives and other responsibilities as needed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in equity research, asset management, hedge fund, or investment banking.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
