KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for providing world class support to numerous teams across the firm, including the trading desk, investor relations, finance and fund management teams across BCC investment platforms
  • Ensure the trading desk has the most up-to-date investment holdings data to buy or sell assets externally
  • Daily monitoring and processing of portfolio activity including corporate bond activity, internal & external CLO events, asset-backed security transactions, mortgage-backed security transactions, and equity activities.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to provide robust support across the firm
  • Build, manage, and enhance relationships with other internal teams and external partners
  • Gain exposure to a world renown asset management firm and how it executes its day-to-day operations

DESIRED BACKGROUND/EDUCATION

  • 1-2 years of fixed income experience preferred
  • Exposure to any of the following asset classes preferred - bonds, ABS, MBS, CLO paper, preferred equity
  • Exposure to the portfolio accounting system Advent Geneva preferred
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg preferred
  • Exposure to syndicated and/or private credit bank loans a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • 3.3 GPA or higher

  • Robust interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with outside parties and personnel across all levels of the firm
  • Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through skills
  • Ability to read and decipher complex legal documents
