The Moelis & Company Business Management team is seeking an Analyst to join the team in New York. The Business Management function directs the firm’s strategy & development, franchise management, banker resource management, reporting & analysis, and business data management.
The Analyst will support the US Business Managers and will be responsible for working on strategic and business performance projects and initiatives across multiple areas of focus including franchise management, business strategy, pipeline management, banker performance and talent management. The role will require extensive interaction with bankers and management, and other functions across the Firm.

Responsibilities
Franchise Management
o Help drive quantitative and qualitative business analyses and reviews for various purposes e.g., sector reviews, banker performance & productivity analyses
o Prepare agenda, communication and materials for various internal meetings e.g., office wide meetings, staffer calls and Banker Committees
o Assist with the annual strategic partners session
o Provide support for various ad hoc management and banker requests, and strategic projects across multiple areas of the organization
o Plan, execute and monitor various firm and banker initiatives
Talent and Resource Management
o Work with Business Managers and partner with Human Capital Management (HCM) on banker development, performance management and analyses
o Help monitor junior resource utilization, and create reports and analyses
o Track and assist with headcount reporting and analyses
o Interact with bankers and solicit feedback on various efforts and initiatives
Pipeline Management
o Interact with bankers and assist Business Managers with deal updates and data entry
o Prepare and run various deal analyses and reports
Other
o Liaise with other functions e.g., Finance & Accounting, Marketing & Communications, Legal & Compliance, IT and HCM on various topics and projects
o Work on and identify process improvements
o Be a point of contact for junior bankers to reach out to for any Business Management related matters

Skills and Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in a business-related major
• 2-4 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred; Investment Banking experience and knowledge is a plus
• Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office; Salesforce is a plus
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills (i.e., financial and data analysis)
• Strong organizational skills, and outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to perform under pressure without conceding accuracy or quality
• Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills, able to interact with bankers and employees of all levels across the Firm
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Strong work ethic, propensity to take ownership of deliverables and its completion

Expected Salary Range: USD $85,000 - $95,000
