We are seeking a skilled, motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst FP&A to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, along with expertise in data analysis, processing and modeling. This role involves providing vital support to our accounting team and requires a self-starter thinker mentality with strong analytical skills.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of full-time work experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or similar finance roles in tech or life science industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.) and experience with financial modeling.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting (GAAP knowledge is preferred).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Positive and self-motivated attitude and team player mentality.
  • On-site in Solana Beach headquarters office at least 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyze monthly financial results, providing insights into key variances between actuals and forecasts.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting process and continuous forecasting efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Business Decision Support: Provide data-driven financial recommendations to assist decision-making, supporting departmental and corporate initiatives.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments including Customer Support, Professional Services, Marketing, and Sales to align financial forecasts with business activity and initiatives.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support ad-hoc analysis for projects, investments, and strategic transactions.

Skills We Are Looking For…

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Proficiency or interest in working with coding languages and data tools, including SQL, VBA, and Python.
  • Experience or familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Superset.
  • Exposure to data warehousing tools such as Amazon Athena or other cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Ability and interest to learn and explore new solutions and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting internal deadlines without detailed oversight.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
