Job Description
Oracle SaaS Applications (SaaS) is one of the company’s fastest growing businesses. In SaaS Finance, members of the team are responsible for all aspects of cost-of-cloud, both tactical and strategic. We are a trusted advisor to a wide range of Oracle groups including SaaS product management, cloud operations, partner programs, sales, and OCI.
In this role, you will be part of a small but high-performing team managing the cost of cloud costs for over 20 SaaS products that are hosted in over 50 data centers worldwide. Team members must be able to understand the underlying technology and cloud resource usage metrics and pricing that impacts budgeting and forecasting and long-range strategic planning. We are looking for a curious and collaborative professional who is data-driven, is self-motivated, has solid financial experience and demonstrates good business judgement.
Operational
- Provide financial leadership support for all cloud infrastructure usage across 20 SaaS products.
- Manage and cultivate collaborative partnerships with cloud engineering and product management teams
- Managing and track cloud infrastructure spend, identify efficiencies and cost-reduction opportunities
Strategic
- Lead SaaS cloud (OCI) infrastructure spend – forecasting, budgeting and long-term strategic planning
- Manage and model strategic infrastructure initiatives
- Work with Fusion and cloud engineering product management to determine long-term Fusion product profitability
- Determine costing and margin KPIs for new Fusion technologies including AI
Rhythm of Business
- Track, monitor and report on OCI usage progress; bridge changes; track and report on operational efficiency
- Lead all non-Commercial P&L development, budgeting and reporting (Dedicated Region, Alloy, Sovereign, Government)
- Build and run end-of-quarter Fusion Board reporting including quarterly credit exposure, Rev by data center, regional profitability, tax reporting and customer profitability
- Communicate OCI x-charge spending strategies and updates to product and finance leadership
- Maintain Fusion KPI dashboards that include contract base, bookings, revenue, customer profitability
- Lead quarterly business reviews with product and cloud operations leadership
