You will contribute to Starbucks success by supporting, developing and improving highly complex financial processes that enable sound planning and decision-making for assigned business unit, leading the development of strategic and operating plans and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles
As a sr. financial analyst, you will leverage your previous experience to:
- Support the Latin America Licensed Stores business unit by leading the development of its annual operating budget and quarterly forecasts. Establish timelines, engage with budget owners, identify risks and opportunities in plan, and conduct timely reviews of financials with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency with overall company targets.
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly business reviews to leadership by analyzing and reporting on financial results and key performance measures. Prepare management reports against forecast, budget and prior year. Identify trends, communicate observations and provide recommendations for revenue and margin improvements
- Partner with cross functional teams to solve complex problems, conduct ad-hoc analysis on business trends and consult on business decisions to drive business results
- Build financial models and provide analytical support for business initiatives and contract negotiations. Identify, analyze, and communicate trends and issues affecting the business.
- Provide and explain financial information and guidance effectively to all levels of management. Educate financial/business acumen and ensure adherence to policy. Establish and facilitate process development and perform on-going review of planning and reporting process to evaluate effectiveness and making recommendations for improvements.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Advanced financial modeling skills
- Working knowledge of financial and management accounting principles
- 5 years of financial analysis experience
- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
