Klar Ventures is seeking a highly qualified Senior Analyst / Junior Associate to work as an integral part of a lean deal team supporting transactions involving primarily middle market companies. In addition to leading the development of all transaction materials, junior professionals at Klar Ventures will also need to possess the skills to quickly establish strong relationships with current and prospective clients, management teams, and private equity professionals in order to gain the respect required to consistently progress projects to completion. Key responsibilities include:
- Working with senior teammates to develop and deliver client presentations highlighting Klar Ventures’ unique accomplishments and capabilities
- Cultivating relationships with existing and potential clients to establish trust, enabling the assumption of significant responsibility through deal execution, and generate new business
- Conducting company, industry, and capital markets research to develop and deliver client presentations, highlighting client’s unique value propositions, market positioning relative to competition, and strategic value creation opportunities
- Creating detailed and dynamic financial models to analyze financial performance, assess transaction structures, and evaluate investor returns
- Preparing compelling transaction marketing materials, including confidential information memoranda and management presentations
- Facilitating due diligence strategy and execution to achieve efficient transaction closings
- Managing projects involving company owners and senior management teams to achieve consistent forward progress
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree from a four-year collegiate program
- A minimum of 18 months of investment banking experience (ideal candidate is a 2nd / 3rd year Analyst or stub / 1st year Associate)
- Candidates with top-tier management consulting and/or Quality of Earnings accounting backgrounds will also be considered
- Significant exposure to (and understanding of) M&A processes
- Highly professional presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to achieve high levels of accuracy and consistently progress projects with minimal supervision
- Maturity and experience working in a demanding environment with driven professionals
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to thrive while simultaneously managing multiple projects and work-streams
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent financial modeling skills, with specific experience building discounted cash flow and LBO financial models
- Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and written capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Series 63 & 79 licenses a plus but not required
- Recent Analyst-to-Associate promotion (either at an investment bank or via investment banking to private equity) a plus but not required
- Spanish fluency a plus but not required

- Position will be based out of the Company’s offices in Charlotte, NC – candidate must be local to the area or willing to relocate
